From the perch

As we move into this season of gathering and giving thanks, we are thinking about the ways community takes shape here. In the past weeks, we have had the privilege of sitting in rooms where people came together with care and conviction.

At the Net Zero 2025 Conference and the Housing to Protect Cape Cod Summit, neighbors and leaders worked side by side, focusing on resilience, belonging, and the future of this place we call home. It reminded us that progress is not abstract. It is built in conversation and carried by people who show up.

We feel grateful for those we walk alongside in this work: partners who trust us to help shape their message, collaborators like photographer Christine Hochkeppel who capture the dignity and strength of the people at the center of these stories, and colleagues like grant strategist Katie Eiden t and nonprofit communications strategist Kristen Sarkarati, who help organizations plan for their next chapter with intention.

And as we look toward the holidays, our gratitude turns to our local small businesses and makers, the creative heart of Cape Cod. We encourage you to shop local this season, gather with care, and support the entrepreneurs who keep our communities vibrant.
